Babies

At Peter Pan we have a cosy yet vibrant and stimulating baby unit. We feel this offers security, comfort and fun for your little one when they are spending time away from home.

Wobblers

As your child grows we offer a smooth transition between our baby unit and our toddler areas. With our close knit team your child will already know everyone in these areas and so we can gradually build their confidence into moving forward into the toddler and pre-school rooms when they are ready.

Toddlers

Our toddler and pre-school areas are combined to develop good social skills. This also creates a very ‘family’ type feel to our nursery. These spaces offer your child activities such as arts and crafts, reading, writing and general play. we believe learning should be lots of fun.

Years of Early Education Excellence

A Loving Place Where Little Hearts Grow Big Dreams!

A little bit about us

Peter Pan Nursery near Coventry has been running for many years after being opened in 1994. Denise the proprietor and manager is well aware of the struggles encountered when looking for appropriate childcare after trying to find care for her own two children prior to opening the nursery.
As well as personal experience with her own children Denise has over 34 years of experience in childcare and is always willing to help and share knowledge with parents to support them in their journey. The nursery offers care for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
Over time, as the nursery has expanded and we have built up a good team of carers, all of whom have the relevant qualifications. All of our carers have been with us for some time, thus providing a degree of continuity for the children within our care.

Caring teachers who nurture growth and curiosity.
Balanced learning with academics, creativity, and social skills.
Safe, bright spaces where children feel happy every day.

Our Mission & Goals!

Stimulating children’s minds from a young age

Learning

At Peter Pan we strive to always make learning fun. Stimulating children’s minds from a young age allows them to experience new learning opportunities every day.
Helping children to further develop their key skills is vital for their social, emotional and cognitive development, this is why we aim to always ensure that there are new and exciting ways for children to learn while having lots of fun at the same time.

We encourage children’s learning potential by using language and experiences that stimulate both inquisitive and creative thinking. We use a variety of teaching materials and experiences to suit individual developmental abilities and needs. These include a variety of outdoor play opportunities as well as a range of indoor experiences to introduce children to a variety of learning styles.

Encouraging good social skills and development

Play

Peter Pan offers a wide range of play experiences inside as well as outside. We work hard to ensure all of our children enjoy their nursery life which contributes to the friendly family atmosphere that we have developed over many years.

We encourage children to include others in play and to be kind and thoughtful to others. Our friendly environment allows children to play with different age groups thus encouraging good social skills and development. As part of their daily experiences they will encounter different activities such as music and movement, singing, creative arts and expression, role play and much more.

Fun outings and celebrations with current learning topics

Outings & Celebrations

Activities include outings to our local park Coombe Abbey in which we participate in pond dipping, meadow walks, bug hunting and face painting in our teepee tent. Visits to our local supermarket with pre-school children in conjunction with current learning topics. Trips to the butterfly farm or zoo have been enjoyed by our pre-school leavers annually. We are very lucky to have regular visits from a local Falconer and bird enthusiast, who brings a variety of birds of prey and small animals to meet the children.

We celebrate many different festivals to introduce children to many different cultures found around the world. We celebrate through, song, dance and creative research.

We also enjoy celebrating the children’s birthdays, encourage group participation in singing and birthday fun. Once a year we offer a parents evening to discuss your child’s development and targets for the future. This also allows you to come and view their learning journal, meet other parents and view our ever changing nursery.
